Glasgow University Choral Society is a university-wide organisation. Membership is open to anyone within the wider University Community, and others by arrangement. There are no auditions (although a basic ability to sight-read may be an advantage).

Performances are given twice a year in November and March when the Choral Society is usually joined by the University Chapel Choir.

Rehearsals are in the Concert Hall on Thursday evenings, starting prompt at 5.15 – 7pm.

  1.  NOVEMBER 2019 CONCERT – SATURDAY 23 NOVEMBER 2019, University Memorial Chapel

The University Choral Society will be joined by Chapel Choir in a performance of Kodaly’s beautiful Missa Brevis and a selection of works by female composers.  Conductor: Katy Lavinia Cooper.

First rehearsal is Thursday 26 September 2019, 5– 7 pm (see full rehearsal schedule). 

MARCH 2020 CONCERT – SATURDAY 14 MARCH 2020, University Memorial Chapel

Choral Society and Chapel Choir will be joined by players from McOpera for a performance of Stabat Mater by Antonín Dvořák
